The Lion and The Lamb Pt.10

The Lion and the Lamb Part 10 I was there on my knees, enraptured, in awe of what the Lamb had to say. The anticipation was killing my patience to know what He was going to say. "What more is there?" I inquired with an open ear willing to learn. With a grin the Lamb continued His lesson, "I died so you could live and fall no more. You need to understand with only me, you can see your steps." I sat there speechless and in amazement. As the Lamb instructed me, I began to realize that all through my journey here, I was trying to find a way out, I was trying to feed myself, it was about myself and not trusting the Lamb. I put myself in harm's way to satisfy myself and my own desires. The Lamb had shown me so much love and guidance, all I did was ignore it. The Lamb laid there in front of me telling me things of miracles and wonder but there were lessons of dark characters. He told me of His journey on the path to which I was traveling, telling me the...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.9

The Lion and The Lamb Part 9 "How can I understand these things?" I started to interrogate the Lion, "what does this have to do with me?" The Lion just stayed in His rested position, staring intently at me. "Why am I so important?" I continued with a harsh tone, "who are you to call me your child?" The Lion slowly rose from His place, I drew back with the fear of Him about to attack me. He didn't attack though but walked gracefully past me. I watched as He passed me but my eye traced back the Lion's footsteps in the sand. I noticed something very strange about His footsteps, that there were those of imprints like a lamb running along His. "Come look My child." The Lion guided me to a small tide pool in the sand, "what do you see?" As I gazed in this pool, I saw a reflection of myself. "Myself." I answered blankly. "Look again," the Lion recommended, "look deeper My child." As I looked mo...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.8

The Lion and The Lamb Part 8 In that place, quiet and peaceful, the area around me was a dark blue with a shimmering glow from above. I was no longer above the river that I had just walked confidently into but no longer under the great river either. Looking up I could see the surface of the river and the light of the sun shimmered through lighting up this atmosphere around me. The sound of water washing against a sea shore was afar off but brought a certain peace, the air in the atmosphere was the purest I could ever breath. A breeze could not be felt but the temperature was as comfortable as that of a perfect day, where it is not too hot or too warm but perfect. This moment brought me so much joy, it seemed like it would last forever and I wanted it to. Not all things could last forever. A low growl cut that moment short, my heart stopped in its place. I could not believe I was in this place again, a place where I would have to run. A certain curiosity came over me to turn around an...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.7

The Lion and The Lamb Part 7 In that moment I could not comprehend how I could be forgiven from not listening to the Lamb or the dove but looking into the Lamb's eyes there was peace that passed all my understanding. I examined myself to see that I was still covered in the mud that came from the pit that I was just removed. This mud was now starting to dry and crack. It was disgusting to be covered head to toe and I knew that I was needing to cleanse myself. I got myself off my knees to look around for a clean source of water to get this layer of mud off of me. There seemed to be two or three different little puddles around this swampy area that I found myself in. As far as I could see was marshland, I could see in the distance what seemed to be a river but I realized it would be too far for me to clean off the mud on my skin, I wanted to get it off now. The dark green grass was mushy under my feet, every step I took cause a sound as if stepping on slimy banana and it felt as if...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.6

The Lion and The Lamb Part 6 One foot after another I stepped in to the forest again, there was a peace that overcame me as like listening to the sounds of the waves of an ocean. These hedges covered up the darkness of the forest around me, the leaves of this shrubbery individually was glowing but altogether the glow lit the path to which I was walking. The green of the hedges was like the color of a well watered plant, there was life in its roots to its leaves. It acted as if it was alive, the branches moved constantly as if they were gears in a clock working and moving. Every so often I would hear something hit the hedge on the other side of it, causing me to jump with every blow. The dove was always ahead of me, it would fly up to a branch to which was ahead of me and would wait for me to catch up. There was a certain kind of comfort seeing this pure white dove doing what it was doing. As I went along the path the canopy of the trees began to thin out, letting in more and more lig...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.5

The Lion and The Lamb Part 5     The fire in the pit, surrounded by round medium sized rocks, was memorizing and hypnotic. There was a warm aura around it that caused me to be at peace, this peace was beyond what I can explain. While I was intrigued by this undying flame that would not consume the fuel of sticks and branches, I noticed that there was a small cooked fish. I could not identify where it had come from or what kind that it was but it had an alluring image about it. Next to that mouth-watering fish, was a loaf of flat, golden crusted bread. This golden bread also seemed to draw me to it, my mind wondered about it, why it was there also. While my mind wondered about these two things, investigating the fish and bread, a breeze carried the scent of these items to my nose causing my empty stomach to desire these delicious items of food. “Take and eat…” the Lamb offered the food to me, “I brought them for you.”     I reached carefully for the brea...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.4

The Lion and The Lamb Part 4 I stood there trembling in fear and anxiety, staring at this despaired sheep. Shaking in place waiting for my body to move, to run. A glow came up from behind me, my back felt a burning as if it was on fire. Turning around I felt the heat increase and intensify. Once I was looking into this raging flame, as my eyes laid upon this fire, something was strange about this fire, it was not consuming the foliage around it! The heat burned in my soul as if it was being purged of the darkness of the desire of those black berries to which was in my hand. I had to turn away from the burning heat but in doing so caused me to lay my eyes back on myself. With the fire overcoming me, I did not see myself no more but the lamb! Only that instead of the pure white fleece, I saw blood soaked wool blotched on His feet, head, and side. The Lamb looked up at me in pain and spoke with all the might He had left, "run!" In shock of this horrid sight I dropped the berri...
