The Lion and The Lamb Pt.4

The Lion and The Lamb Part 4 I stood there trembling in fear and anxiety, staring at this despaired sheep. Shaking in place waiting for my body to move, to run. A glow came up from behind me, my back felt a burning as if it was on fire. Turning around I felt the heat increase and intensify. Once I was looking into this raging flame, as my eyes laid upon this fire, something was strange about this fire, it was not consuming the foliage around it! The heat burned in my soul as if it was being purged of the darkness of the desire of those black berries to which was in my hand. I had to turn away from the burning heat but in doing so caused me to lay my eyes back on myself. With the fire overcoming me, I did not see myself no more but the lamb! Only that instead of the pure white fleece, I saw blood soaked wool blotched on His feet, head, and side. The Lamb looked up at me in pain and spoke with all the might He had left, "run!" In shock of this horrid sight I dropped the berri...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.3

The Lion and The Lamb Part 3     As we approached the forest, my stomach began to be twisted, like a man twisting a rope into a knot. The forest got darker and darker as if a storm was approaching, light did not seem to pierce the veil of darkness looming over this forest. Once the lamb and I got to the edge of the dark forest, the lamb seemed to glow as if He was untouched by the darkness of the forest. “I don’t want to go in there.” I stated, with a trembling voice. “Every one must travel this path,” the lamb said with gentle and confident voice, “just don’t leave the path.” “Will you go with me?” I asked with a scared voice. “I have already gone down this path,” the lamb claimed as if it won a battle, “Remember, you won’t be alone.” “Are you leaving me?” I questioned as my heart stopped in my chest, “you said you wouldn’t leave me?” “Don’t be afraid.” the lamb calmly commanded, “you are never alone.”     As it said these things, a whi...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt.2

The Lion and The Lamb Part Two     With my eyes locked shut there was a deafening silence. I fought to open my eyes but they did not want to open. I thought I would never open my eyes again. then I felt a hand rest on my shoulder. this hand was soft, gentle, and had a loving warmth come from it. I felt my heart slow as if I was about to fall asleep. Then the voice spoke again, this time just as soft but with more of a firmness as like a father with His child. “Open your eyes, child.” the voice commanded me.     In that moment I felt the hand move to my right hand and grasp it gently but with security. My eyes opened with ease as if they were set free from what ever kept them closed. As I opened my eyes I was blinded by a bright light but it had the warmth of the sun. Once my eyes adjust to this light, I expected to be back in the hallway to which where I was before, only with the lights on but what I saw instead was beyond what I could comprehen...

The Lion and The Lamb Pt. 1

The Lion and The Lamb Some time ago I was away from my family, I was at a point where I was trying to find my own faith. I couldn’t understand what was going on in my life. Seeing that I was just a year out of highschool, living in an apartment with people I didn’t even know. I was going to a college to which was completely secular. This was a point in my life where I was out of a relationship, which was unhealthy, for about two years before. There was no way that I was able to function on my own because I did not understand where I was. One night I was laying in bed, in my room of this six room apartment, I was restless which was keeping me from sleeping. In my restlessness I decided to get of my bed and walk out to the living room of this apartment, to which was five rooms down the hallway. The hallway was dark but there was little light coming from beneath a couple of the doors to which lined this hallway. This little light gave a gloominess to the hallway, so my imagination ...
